It is with great sadness that Jennifer Lofthouse who runs "Darrowby Cakes" has passed away. We do not wish to take down the website, so that we can look back at Jen's amazing work. But please note, that we will no longer be taking on any orders.

For my mums 60th I wanted a really special cake. But she has a dairy and gluten free diet so not the easiest cake to find.
Jenny did an exceptionally tasty cake completely gluten and dairy free. All the family loved it.
I will be using her again for all my birthday and occasion cakes in the future.

We initially ordered some cupcakes from Darrowby Cakes to celebrate moving into our new offices that could be shared with the staff and Jenny made them all with the company branding on, they were great and everyone enjoyed them. I couldn’t resist getting a bespoke cake for my birthday and ordered a cake in the style of a Radley handbag… it turned out fantastically and everyone who saw it was amazed by the skill that went into it, and it was gorgeous to eat too!

Jen made me a cake for my sons 18th, it was huge ,amazing & gorgeous. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened the box. Although it was huge we ate it all pretty quick the icing was gorgeous and I don’t normally like icing all that much. I cant recommend Darrowby cakes enough. We will without doubt use again.
